Custom Projects
Your ideas. Even your materials. Made into something you can use.
Have something in mind? Let’s make it.
Maybe you’ve found a style you love in our Shop, but you’d really love it in a different color.
Maybe you have something specific in mind for a room in your home.
Maybe you’re looking for a one-of-a-kind gift for someone you love.
Or maybe you have a stack of your dad’s old shirts, your kids’ outgrown jeans, or fabric from your grandmother’s sewing room that means too much to throw away, and you’ve been wondering if it could become something new.
Here at Grani’s Acres, custom projects can start just about anywhere.
You can come to me with a very specific vision or little more than an idea. Either way, we’ll figure out what we can make together.
Frequently Asked Questions About Custom Projects
-
Not at all. Some people come to me with a specific design in mind, and others come with an idea they need help developing.
And some come with a simple question: “Could you make something out of this?”
I’m happy to start wherever you are.
-
You absolutely can! If you see a Grani’s Acres piece you love but would prefer different colors, materials, or dimensions, send it my way as part of your inquiry.
Because each piece is handmade, I can’t promise an exact duplicate, but that’s part of the fun. Yours will be made just for you.
-
Please do! Clothing, leftover fabric, denim, family textiles, and other meaningful materials may all be possibilities.
Send me a few photos when you inquire and tell me what you’re thinking. I can help you determine whether your material is suitable for the project you have in mind.
-
Item descriptionIt depends on what we’re making, so you don’t need to figure this out yourself.
Tell me approximately what you have, send some photos, and let me know what you’d like to make. I can help you determine whether there’s enough material, or if there’s other opportunities we should consider.
Don’t worry about “not having enough.” After all, the vision for Grani’s Acres started with a box labeled “Scraps too small to save.” I’m not so sure there is such a thing.
-
Every project is different, so pricing will depend on the size, materials, complexity, and time involved.
Once we’ve talked through your idea, I’ll provide pricing before the project begins so you know what to expect.
-
The unique timeline will depend on what we’re making and what I currently have on my worktable.
Handmade takes time, and my number one priority is to make it well. I’ll give you an estimated timeline before we get started.
If your project is intended for a wedding, birthday, holiday, anniversary, or another special date, be sure to mention that when you inquire.
